Pre/post-workout supplements

Are you consuming pre or post workout supplements?!! In here I will be sharing with you What have worked out for me.

I have a fast metabolism  which means i quickly feel hungry and digest things very fast. I have heard that some hit the gym with not so much calories in their system and hope that their body burn out the stored fat. some also plan to deplete the stored glycogen. I have no fat in my body, just lean muscles so I have never taken that route.

However I know that if you hit the gym with low calories and try to lift weight, your performance will be low and you may even injure your muscles or trigger muscles cramps.

You may try to hit the gym with low calories and do cardiovascular exercises and stretching. I still remember that when I was doing martial arts some guys were leaving swimming pools of sweats near them, but after few months they could see their effort paying out. one year of that, strong lean muscles started to show up. They have evolved to a new person.

so back to our subject, What should you take pre and post workout to take a full advantage of your gym visit.

The market is full of products that promise the stars and great results.

If you want to build muscles, you should fuel your system before hitting the gym so that you efficiently move and do things at the gym to see some results.

Carbs!!! As you may know, carbohydrate could be in your system as glycogen and you may use that energy to fuel your session at the gym. Rice, bread for instance would help you. Personally I have noticed that if i take rice about two hours prior to hitting the gym give me an added energy and I lift things better.

Market is full of caffein products, it makes me laugh. Well I have to respect people choices, but personally I prefer hitting a coffee shop, have a cup of coffee with some sweets that i put in my blood stream and mentally get ready for the gym I don't use caffeine pills. They tend to have a very high amount of caffeines that make your system crash later.

Without being so technical, you may be aware of the ATP-CP that give energy to your muscles. I may write a post about that and mention how creatine helps you. But for now I can tell you that I take 2 grams of creatine before and after my workout, preferably on an empty stomach.

Here you are, you have it. It depends on your genetics and metabolism, Carbs few hours before workout will give you energy. Sweet things and coffee will give you energy for a hardcore workout. Creatine is a very good tool that you should have at the top of your list.

Post workout, should be something to feed your muscles so be aware of what you put in your system. Protein from a natural source is the best, for instance chicken. You may research that as well. Stay toon, I will be writing a post about post workout aliments that will make you build strong lean muscles. Remember, discipline and hard work pay off so never give up on your dreams
